Meet the Team

Paula Casagrande

Founder, Owner, CEO, HBIC, Head Designer, Sign Queen.

Paula Casagrande has over 35 years experience in the graphic design and sign production industry. Working first with her late father at Putty Hill Signs, which he owned and operated, Paula quickly learned the tools of the trade. Her father gave her the love of signs, the rules of typography, and how to sell a product visually. The lessons her father taught her stayed with her well into adulthood, and equipped her with the knowledge she needed to run a successful sign shop.

She went on to work other jobs in the industry, including professional photographer, before ultimately starting her own business in her basement. The business quickly outgrew the space and she began looking for a new location. Eventually, she settled on Havre de Grace and made the move from Baltimore. Here, she opened her first shop, and quickly became part of the community. Above all else, she loves her dogs. Her mission in life is to save as many senior dogs as she can. In the time Big House Signs has been in its current location, Paula has given 3 senior dogs their forever home. A Baltimore County native, Paula has called Harford County home for the last 20 years, and loves to spend time with her friends and neighbors.
